Nightlife in Hyderabad and Secunderabad
We are all about nightlife. We live during the night.
First of all, we would like to greet all of you a very Happy Ramadan. The whole month of fasting had been done in the city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad with zest and fervor. The month of Ramadan has a special charm and seems to transform the city. For the residents of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the city is livelier at night rather than the day adding flavor to its nightlife.
We Hyderabadis are not exactly bats or nocturnal prowlers, but we do have a tendency to enjoy the night. Previously, Hyderabad was considered a laid back city with a unique charm in its slow pace. Now, it is a bustling city with a robust economy and a great nightlife.
Typically, the nightclubs, pubs, and hotels are the preferred places to enjoy a night out, but there are other options too. In times of festivals like Ramadan and Ganesh Chaturdhi, the city comes alive. It’s a time for people to enjoy Hyderabadi culture. The diverse culture of the city assumes a higher state during these festivals.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the city is awake 24/7. The day begins with people hastening to attend the morning prayers even as newspaper and milk vans unload their cargo and end with late night Haleem. In the old city, near Charminar and Chatta Bazar, the streets become vibrant arcades and the bazaars are abundant with traditional clothing, fashion clothing, accessories, and all those things you wish you could buy cheap.
On one side of the street, there are heaps of dry fruits, fruits, and perfumes. On the other side you get bangles, earrings, lockets, pendants, and the jewelry a woman could dream of. As the sun sets, the mesmerizing lights of the city invite people breaking their fast to Haleem, Harees, and Dhai Vada kiosks.
And, as Ramadan approaches, nightlife gets more interesting and fascinating. Youngsters take their bikes and ride all over the city while families take out their cars and enjoy the nightlife of the city.
One wishes that this celebration lasts forever! Well, this is about to happen. In a recent news release, the government has decided that it is going to give permission to keep shops and establishments open 24/7! That means that the city would just sleep for two hours!
As a 2-star hotel in Secunderabad, Lotus Grand is well aware of the demand for food in the late hours when people would line up at the back doors of restaurants and hotels for some tasty biriyani. Now, no more back door entry!
Though the move by the government is aimed at boosting the economy, it does a lot to the culture of the city. People who want to enjoy good life after a hard day’s work do no longer have to do this surreptitiously. Of course, the city also plans to beef up the police force at nights so that citizens are not at the risk of mugging or any other criminal activity.
Lotus Grand Hotel in Secunderabad is happy to invite each and every one! Come enjoy food or stay any time you want!
